District of Clearwater councillor Theresa Braaten said she is thrilled with the turn-out for the Community Pitch In on Saturday April 20.

“It was a job well done with so many helpers turning up to support the community pitch in to show how we love where we live.”

The event started at 11 a.m. with community members meeting at the North Thompson Sportsplex arena with gloves and garbages bags available to all participants. Braaten thanked all those who participated by rolling up their sleeves to “clean the town up” and expressed special thanks to the Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD) and mayor Blackwell for bringing the TNRD kit and the local Tim Horton’s for providing “the best fancy cookies and muffins” for volunteers.
