Canco corporation hosted a customer appreciation day in Clearwater on Feb. 3 with the corporation matching all proceeds from donations and sales. A cheque for $1,751 was presented to Clearwater and District Food Bank chair, Margot Venema, by Canco 121 Clearwater owners, Gursharan Singh and Anumeet Singh at the end of the afternoon’s events.

The event included assorted fun games, a pizza eating contest, hot dogs and burgers served up by Dwayne Thiesen, the Clearwater Rotary cook for the day who also provided his own barbecue.

The Canco Corporation donated the supplies and matching funds and the spring-like weather added to the enjoyment of the afternoon.
