Carole Murray, president of the BC Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries (BCAHA), paid a visit to Clearwater recently, to meet with the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital Auxiliary on June 15.

"Carole treated us to coffee at the Old Caboose restaurant and then we had a very nice and informative visit," said hospital auxiliary director Gail Capostinsky. "It was lovely to get new ideas from her and to realize that any problems and/or issues we might encounter are certainly not new. Then we went for a tour of the hospital.”

Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital administrative assistant Diana Anderson was the unofficial "tour guide," and Capostinsky said “We are so appreciative Diana took part of her Saturday to give us the full tour of the hospital in order for Carole to see the whole hospital.”

Capostinsky told the Clearwater Times that the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital Auxiliary continues to raise funds to purchase the new X-ray machine. There is currently no word on when the renovations will begin on the new space for the machine.
