Hospital Auxiliary members from Clearwater,  Sunshine Valley, Birch Island and Vavenby have donated 8,551 hours of volunteer work for the year 2011. Multiply those hours by say $17.50 an hour and that will tell you how much these ladies are worth in their time and effort.

Last year the Hospital Auxiliary purchased equipment for the hospital totalling $22,600.  This year at our annual general meeting the hospital auxiliary unanimously agreed to purchase equipment totalling $12,250.  This includes a Holter monitor, stethoscope - cardiac, vital signs monitor and much more. And did you know that the Auxiliary has provided all the TV’s  and cable boxes for the acute care patients and cable boxes and music for the extended care?

These monies are raised throughout the year with our fund raising events and of course the support from our community.
