Dorothy Crandell, nursing director at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital, shows off a new $22,000 Verathon bladder scanner to Hospital Auxiliary member Marj Sunderman recently.
The hospital staff is pleased to have this unit purchased by the Auxiliary for them.
The unit will in many cases eliminate the need for a catheter. Also received at this time was a breast pump and an ear wash system.
Auxiliary members are presently selling 50/50 raffle tickets to help support the hospital.
