North Thompson Times available for pick up if postal strike materializes

Clearwater Times is working on alternative plans should a postal strike come to fruition

Delivery of the Clearwater Times may be disrupted by a pending strike by Canada Post.

This week Canada Post workers across the country voted overwhelmingly to authorize strike action ahead of the holiday season.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers could undertake strike action as early as Sunday, Nov. 3, disrupting postal services nationally and locally.

In the result of a strike, subscribers to the Clearwater Times who have their papers delivered via mail will not receive them.

However, newspapers will be able for pick up at the DLCC at the YCS office (first door on the left) 209 Dutch Lake Road, Open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday closed 12-1 p.m. Monday  to Thursday and closed 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays.

The Clearwater Times is also working on setting up alternative pick-up points in the outlying communities north of Clearwater for subscribers. More information will be posted online as we confirm these locations.
