It was perfect golf weather on Aug. 24 – cool and no smoke once the thunderstorm that started around 2 p.m. was over.
We had 14 ladies out for golf. The special game was “Strings.” Each golfer had a length of string she could use to improve her lie or reduce her number of putts or for any other reason to improve her overall score.
We had 12 ladies stay for dinner and it was a great social evening.
The winners from the Aug. 17 (week 16) Ladies Night are:
Flight #1: Tanya Dejarlais – low gross; Madeline Klassen – low net; Deanna Pendergast – KP#5, long putt (194”), Jen Cleveland – Long drive.
Flight #2: Joan Slingsby – low gross; Marg Anderson – low net, long drive, long putt (153”); Flight #3: Marie – low gross; Lori Watson – long drive; Dawn Purdy – long putt.
Winners of the special game “TTFF+1” were: Tanya for Flight #1, Joan for Flight #2 and Hazel Wadlegger for Flight #3.
Carol McNeil had the longest putt for all flights. Winners of the mystery score were Carol Hindle, Larissa Hadley and Hazel Wadlegger. Deb Pearce had the least putts and Jen was the most honest putter.
No one lost their ball into the pond (unusual). Deb had a great Chip In and didn’t have to share the pot. There were no birdies this week so the pot grows.
