The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 259 Veteran’s Memorial Golf Tournament on June 3 was a great success, organizers report.

A total of 27 golfers participated with many others joining for the dinner and the prize presentations.

More than $1,600 was raised, of which half will go to the monument fund established to eventually replace the existing cenotaph at Reg Small Park.

The winning team at three under par consisted of Bob Daoust, Luke Paradis, Dan Groulx and Harry James.

A big thank you to all who participated. Also, a big thanks to the generous sponsors whose donations made the tournament so successful.
