December 13, 1949 - August 29, 2017

Yesterday we lost a great man and gained a loving and protecting guardian angel. His pain and suffering is now over and he is reunited with all of our previously lost loved ones.

In honour of my dads wishes, we will not be having a funeral service for him. In memory of my dad, please do one or more of the things below when the opportunity presents itself and blow him a kiss or a wave.

* Spend time with your family and tell them how much you love them and how proud you are of them.

* Spend quality one on one time with each of your grandchildren.

* Sit on the deck, smoke a cigar, drink a Diet Pepsi and enjoy visits with close friends.

* Drive as fast as you can with the top down with Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks cranked (and make sure to fight the speeding ticket if you get one).

* Dance your heart out to Footloose.

* Eat a fresh peach and let the juice run down your chin.

* Climb a mountain and blow him a kiss.

* Sit by the river, skip rocks and watch the salmon run.

* Watch the sunset on a beach.

* Get to the ski hill as early as possible to make fresh tracks, heck - even jump out of a helicopter to add the extra rush.

* Tell your kids that heaven is beautiful and amazing every chance you get especially when you are around the beauty of nature.

* Yell your heart out at a hockey game and give a little shout to the ref just for a laugh.

* Strike up a conversation with a homeless person and brighten their day.

* Sit under the stars and don't miss a meteor shower.

* Never break a promise.

* Live life with passion and love and don't be afraid to tell people how much they mean to you.

* Be kind and loving to ones who have family away and welcome them into your home and life.

Most of all love each and everyday as life is short so don't miss out on all the little things that will mean so much when they are gone.
