Harry and Joan moved to Clearwater in 1979 when they purchased the Petro Canada Bulk Plant. After 11 years of managing the Bulk Plant, Harry began work at the school district where he proudly worked in the maintenance department for 26 years.

Survived by his wife Joan Taron of Clearwater BC, his children Susanne Leyh (Michael) of Cologne Germany, Benjamin Taron (Melanie) of Calgary AB, Harrison Taron of Clearwater BC, and Rebecca Taron (Steven McKay) of New Westminster BC. Grandchildren Ada Leyh, Reed Taron, and Elu Leyh. Brother Manfred Taron (Lynn) of Vernon BC, and sisters Anne Marie Baerg and Angela Holtby (Nick) both of White Rock BC. Brothers-in-law Harold Crittenden (Bonnie) and Jim Crittenden both of Calgary AB. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles both in Canada and Germany.

Harry was predeceased by his father and mother Eric and Anna, and his beloved brother Peter Taron.

For friends and family wishing to share a memory of Harry, an informal open house will be held at the Elks Hall in Clearwater BC on Saturday, June 10 from 1pm to 4pm. Refreshments will be served. No formal service will be held as per Harry’s request.

In lieu of flowers a memorial scholarship fund will be set up in honour of Harry’s commitment to the students of Clearwater. Donations can be made at any Royal Bank of Canada in person, by mail, or by email money transfer at harrytaronfund@outlook.com. Cheques should be made payable to Harry Taron Memorial Fund. Donations to this fund are greatly appreciated.

Harry will be remembered for his cheerfulness, generosity, and willingness to help others. He was a remarkable man and will be dearly missed forever.
