It is with shattered hearts and great sadness we regret to announce the sudden passing of our son and brother Cody Gary Marshall.

Cody Gary Marshall was born in Kelowna, British Columbia on January 3, 1987. He passed away on June 12, 2017.

He will be missed tremendously by the many he leaves behind: his wife Amber Powell and their children Seersha and Aiden Marshall, as well as mother Cheryl Marshall, father Warren Marshall (Dawn Wheelhouse), his brothers Jesse Marshall, Tim Wheelhouse (Sam Beattie), grandmother Doris Catterall, cousin Jim Krause (Brandy) and nieces Aviendha and Mikayla. There are also many aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters and grandparents of his extended family blood or not.

Cody was predeceased by his grandfathers Gary Marshall, Jim Catterall, his grandmother Bernadette Tarko, aunt Lisa Marshall Madden, mother in law Lisa Powell, cousin Michael Krause.

He will be remembered for his great love for his children and a good work ethic. He had a drive to help people every year with their firewood since he was a little boy.

Cody loved the great outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping. He worked hard in the oil fields, logging, firefighting and being a driller’s helper, all which took him on adventures everywhere.

Cody belonged to the Church in Vavenby, BC. This brought out the best in him, caring and helping others.

He accomplished many things in the time he was given.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Cody in Barriere, British Columbia, on July 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., at the Barriere Lions Hall, 350 Borthwick, Barriere, BC, V0E 1E0.

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund is being set up for Amber and their children. Information will be available soon.
