Alice Elizabeth Bond (Betty Boop) age 86 May 13, 1930 to Jan 11, 2017 Daughter of Dave and Pearl Bedwell Born in Corvallis, Oregon It is with great sadness that long time resident of Blackpool, BC slipped peacefully away in her sleep at Mill Site Lodge in 100 mile house. Betty was a hard worker, first for the packing house in Penticton. She then worked as a taxi dispatcher and a tree planter. When she became a mother, that is were Betty did her best. Always making sure there where hot meals, clean clothes and a clean home to come home to. Betty enjoyed playing games with here friends. Ramoli was one of their favorites. Fond memories of coming home to the ladies playing Ramoli and the smell of fresh baked bread filling the air, which usually mean fresh homemade pizza. Bingo was another one of Betty’s favorite past times, followed closely by the game of Yahtzee. Betty was predeceased by her husbands Frances Strobbe and Charles Bond. Also predeceased were her two brothers Edward Bedwell and John Bedwell. She was predeaceased by 2 sons, Wayne Strobbe and Tom Bond. Also predeceasing Betty was her granddaughter Rio Bond, stepson Neil Bond and step daughter Diane Smith. Betty is survived by her son Bill Bond & fiance Karen Larson, daughter Gayle Martin & husband Tim and Step daughter Carol Robertson. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren. Kristie Strobbe, Dan Strobbe, Tim Bond, Jennifer Scott, Melissa Bond, Brodie Bond, Brennan Bond, Lisa Martin, Tanya Walt, Aaron Robertson, James Robertson, Wes McCorquodale & Charlotte McCorquodale. Betty was also blessed with 10 great grandchildren. Drake Cremation & Funeral Services is taking care of Betty’s cremation The family is planning a celebraton of life for May 20, 2017 in Clearwater. Details of where and time will be posted closer to the date.
