Clearwater RCMP Central Interior Traffic Services report that on Sunday, Aug. 20 one traffic services member from Clearwater was kept busy impounding four vehicles for excessive speed violations in just over one hour in one location.
Each motorist received a $368 fine and a seven-day vehicle impound.
Police have dealt with various other excessive speed violations / impounds in recent weeks.
Police would like to remind motorists to obey all posted speed signs, whether driving on the highway, in a municipality, a construction zone or remote area.
As speeds and aggressive driving behaviours increase in the area they will be met with increased enforcement.
Traffic Services members also removed three impaired drivers from area roadways this past week. Two were issued 90-day immediate roadside prohibitions and 30-day vehicle impoundments.
The third motorist was given a court date to answer to Criminal Code impaired driving charges.
