A diesel generator donated by Highland Valley for use as a backup for Clearwater’s water system arrives on Monday. With the Thuya Lake fire southwest of Little Fort threatening to cut the valley’s only power-line. Mitchell Cattle Company in Barriere provided a truck and lowbed trailer for the day, Ken Beharrell from KB Energy Alternatives drove the truck and connected the generator, while Ross Wilson from HVC donted his day off to procure the generator. The 135 kWatt Caterpillar generator weighs 1,500 pounds.
