What a great night to walk around the golf course and hit a few balls along the way. We had 18 ladies out for golf on Aug. 31.
The special game was “Cry Baby.” Each golfer had the opportunity to throw out her three worst hole scores and put in par for that hole. We had 15 ladies stay for dinner and it was a nice, noisy social evening.
The winners from the August 24 (week 17) Ladies Night are:
Flight #1: Carol Hindle – #1 low stringer, KP#5; Deanna Pendergast – #2 low stringer, long drive; Tanya Desjarlais – long drive in 2; Deb Pearce – long putt.
Flight #2: Joan Streadwick – #1 low stringer, long putt; Abbey Bates – #2 low stringer, long drive; Jan Johnston – KP#5; Jane Olson – long drive in 2.
Flight #3: Marie Giesbrecht – low stringer; Hazel Wadlegger – long drive; Carol McNeil – long putt.
Marie had the longest putt for all flights and Deanna had the KP on #7. There were a few with bad aim who lost their ball into the pond (Sheila, Tanya, Jan, Carol Mc). However, a new shiny ball made up for the loss.
The Chip In Pot is carried over. There were two birdies this week so the pot was shared between Carol H. and Deanna.
