Outdoor music continues on the summer stage

An amazing number of people braved the heat to come and hear Margit Sky Project at our Summer Stage July 28. Their reward: great music from Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” to Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” delivered with such charm and happiness. One of the highlights was one of Rod’s beautiful original songs.

All was going well until we had the sad news that the Dream Heavy Project couldn’t perform Aug. 4, but the Dos Ukes stepped up, playing their folk-style tunes for a modest crowd. Their original songs got everyone’s toes tapping!

The duo of Dos Ukes will be back at Summer Stage with the rest of their band on Aug. 25.

Tonight on the Summer Stage is The Wheat in the Barley, pulling together a mix of musical styles. Grab some takeout, bring your own chairs and drinks and enjoy some outdoor tunes.

The fun starts at 7 p.m. on Aug. 11 at the Dutch Lake Community Centre.
