Thompson-Nicola Regional District

The TNRD is pleased to announce that Bill Wallace from Blackpool is the grand prize winner from a draw that was held in conjunction with the TNRD's Regional Solid Waste Management Plan Review Survey.

Bill won a $100 VISA gift card for simply filling out the survey, which was completed by more than 650 residents from across the regional district.

Also in the winner's circle is David English from Barriere, who took home a home composting kit.

Both winners were drawn at random at a recent board of directors meeting.

The survey will help give the committees that are steering the review a snapshot of residents' opinions and ideas about current garbage and recycling services, and what they'd like to see in the future. Once the committees' work is done, a draft of the plan will be taken to the public in the fall.

Community and stakeholder consultation, including another survey, will follow to help finalize the plan. The plan will then be taken to the board of directors for approval.
