On Wednesday, April 5, Wells Gray Country Seniors Society along with invited guests celebrated the announcement of WGCSS receiving a grant from the federal government's New Horizons For Seniors program.

The title of the project is Seniors Taking Charge: Elder Abuse Prevention. This one-year program will raise the awareness of seniors issues in the community, and help seniors build confidence as they are given tools, resources and contacts that will help them to make healthy choices in their lives.
