The Clearwater Fire Department is conducting a controlled burn on March 24 starting at 12 noon, of a structure in Sunshine Valley. Fire officials want valley residents to be reassured that fire crews are on site and making sure everything is going smoothly with the deliberate structure fire of a vacant old home there. They have issued a statement telling residents not to be alarmed if seeing black smoke in that area and everything is under control.
